Just a few reminders and updates from Logan Phys Ed. I know winter makes sending students to school a pain in the snow pants, but its crucial my students come with clean, dry PE shoes. You may be getting little reminders if/when your student forgets to bring his/her PE shoes. If possible, consider sending them only 1 time to keep in the classroom so they are always prepared. If there are any concerns/challenges regarding this issue, please contact me so I can be of assistance.
If your child has received a reflection sheet from Mrs. Garcia, here's a little info about that. We all make mistakes, however Physical Education can be a hazard if mistakes are made. So to help keep our students on track, I provide a warning when a student's behavior is off from our PE expectations. This allows the student a chance to make corrections and fix the concerning behavior. But sometimes we get a little too excited or lose focus, so at that point, the child will receive a reflection sheet. This is a moment for the student to sit, dissect, and reflect on the behavior(s). The very end of the reflection sheet is where I like my students to focus most...their steps for success, how they can make changes to improve their behavior/mistakes. Thank you for your support and talking with your student if this occurs. I ask they are signed and return so I can keep track of how I can improve my behavior system.
Things to look forward to:
I'm still hoping to paint the gym!!! We have the materials and just need the time and people power! Please contact the PTSO who is trying to help me coordinate this major project. OR if you know of a company willing to donate their time, that would be amazing.
AND then I suppose I'm going to need to think about field day soon :D So with that in mind (somewhere jumbled with everything else), I will be looking for volunteers. The date and details are yet to be set, but I will keep you all posted.
Thanks for everything!
